Deep amethyst glass and a clear spherical stopper give this vintage decanter an elegant jewel-toned presence rooted in 1930s Art Deco design.

This glass form is associated with the colorful glass components used in Farber Bros. Krome-Kraft services, for which Cambridge Glass supplied many of the removable glass inserts paired with Farber’s distinctive chrome-plated holders.

This example is offered as the glass decanter and clear ball stopper only, without the original Krome-Kraft metal holder or base.

The rounded body, arched handle, short pouring spout, and oversized clear stopper create a beautifully balanced silhouette.

In stronger light, the glass reveals its rich translucent amethyst coloration, making it especially attractive for display on a vintage bar cart, cocktail cabinet, sideboard, or within a collection of Depression-era and Art Deco glassware.

Its missing metal mount also makes this a particularly useful replacement component for an incomplete Farber Bros.

Krome-Kraft service, while the decanter remains decorative enough to display independently.

A lovely crossover piece for collectors of Cambridge Glass, Farber Brothers, Krome-Kraft, amethyst glass, Depression glass, and American Art Deco barware.

Condition:
Vintage pre-owned condition. Includes the amethyst glass decanter and clear glass ball stopper as photographed. The Farber Bros. Krome-Kraft chrome holder/base is not present. Good vintage condition overall with light surface wear consistent with age and previous handling. The clear glass stopper is included; however, the ground-glass insertion portion of the stopper has several chips and areas of glass loss, as shown in the close-up photographs. The decanter has some shallow chips near the base of the spout visable on one side. The decanter body remains displayable.
