An exceptional vintage table linen set from Liddell’s Irish Damask, one of the distinguished names associated with traditional Irish damask weaving.

Beautifully presented in its original Gold Medal Brand box, this elegant set was made in Ireland from Finest Egyptian Cotton & Acetate, as identified on the original period label.

The damask is woven in a sophisticated blush-pink tone with an intricate floral motif worked directly into the fabric.

Depending on the light, the weave takes on subtle notes of soft rose, champagne and silvery pearl, giving the textile a luminous, almost satin-like depth.

The floral design emerges through changes in texture and sheen rather than printed decoration, creating the refined dimensional character for which damask textiles are prized.

The original box label identifies the set as including:
• 1 rolled-hemmed damask tablecloth — approximately 52" x 52"
• 1/2 dozen rolled-hemmed damask napkins — 6 total, approximately 14" x 14" each

Both the box and textile retain wonderful period details, including the ornate Liddell Gold Medal Brand emblem, original Liddell’s Irish Damask labeling, the Finest Egyptian Cotton & Acetate — Made in Ireland composition label, and a small Made in Ireland label affixed to the textile.

The soft blush coloration makes this set particularly striking.

It has the elegance of traditional formal table linens without the expected white or ivory palette, giving it a romantic and distinctive presence suited to an elevated dining table, vintage-inspired entertaining, bridal or anniversary settings, holidays, afternoon tea, or an heirloom textile collection.

Condition:
Completely unused new old stock vintage condition. The tablecloth and all six coordinating napkins have never been used and remain beautifully preserved in their original Liddell presentation box.
The original labels remain present, including the textile’s Made in Ireland label and the exterior manufacturer, composition, and set-detail labels. The original box shows light age-related storage wear and general vintage surface wear consistent with its age. Small peeled area on back exterior of the box. A few textiles have faint minor discolored age spots.
